Re-opening your business after lockdown


A lot of businesses rushed to implement home working a year ago as the coronavirus pandemic took hold. As restrictions are gradually being lifted is your business ready to re-open? We have compiled a list of tips to help you prepare.


Put a plan in place

Make a list of everything you need to do before you are ready to open your workspace. Think about what measures need to be implemented to be able to re-open safely an ensure these are actioned. Do you need to train your staff members of different ways of working? If this can't be done online plan in face to face training that can be completed in a safe, socially distanced way.


Implement social distancing measures

It is important that your workforce are kept safe in the office and the simplest way to do this is to make sure everyone is safely distanced. This may be through implementing one way systems, spacing out desks and other work spaces, changing the office layout or restricting access to shared resources e.g. kitchens/toilets.


Clean your workspace

Cleaning is more important than ever. Maintaining a good cleaning schedule will help to keep your office COVID secure and reassure your staff that it is safe for them to return.
